Welcome to Mansa LLM, operated by African Languages Lab ("Mansa", "we", "our", or "us").

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Mansa LLM platform, including our website, mobile applications, APIs, artificial intelligence models, and related services (collectively, the "Services").

By creating an account, accessing, or using the Services, you agree to comply with these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Services.

You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum legal age required in your country, to use the Services.

By using the Services, you confirm that:

• you have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement;
• the information you provide is accurate and current;
• you will comply with these Terms and all applicable laws.

Certain features require you to create an account.

You agree to:

• provide accurate and complete information;
• maintain the confidentiality of your login credentials;
• promptly update your account information;
• notify us immediately of any unauthorized access.

You are responsible for all activities conducted through your account.

Mansa LLM provides AI-powered language technologies, including but not limited to:

• conversational AI;
• speech recognition;
• machine translation;
• transcription;
• text generation;
• language understanding;
• multilingual assistance;
• APIs and developer tools;
• research and language technology services.

Features may change from time to time as our Services evolve.

You agree to use the Services only for lawful purposes.

You must not:

• violate any law or regulation;
• upload malicious software;
• interfere with platform security;
• gain unauthorized access to our systems;
• use the Services to commit fraud;
• distribute spam;
• harass, threaten, or abuse others;
• infringe intellectual property rights;
• attempt to reverse engineer our AI models except where permitted by law;
• use the Services to generate unlawful, defamatory, discriminatory, or harmful content.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

Mansa uses artificial intelligence and machine learning to generate responses and language outputs.

You acknowledge that:

• AI-generated outputs may contain inaccuracies;
• outputs may be incomplete or outdated;
• AI responses should be independently verified;
• AI outputs are not legal, medical, financial, or professional advice.

You remain solely responsible for how you use AI-generated content.

You retain ownership of any text, prompts, files, voice recordings, images, or other content you submit ("User Content").

By submitting User Content, you grant African Languages Lab a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to:

• host and store the content;
• process it to provide the Services;
• improve our language technologies;
• enhance security;
• conduct research where permitted by law or where consent has been obtained.

You warrant that:

• you own or have permission to use the content;
• your content does not infringe third-party rights;
• your content complies with applicable laws.

Where you voluntarily submit voice recordings, speech samples, translations, annotations, or language data, you acknowledge that such information may be processed to:

• provide requested services;
• improve speech recognition;
• improve translation quality;
• develop language technologies;
• evaluate AI systems;
• build African language resources.

Where required by applicable law, we will obtain your consent before using such data for AI training or research.

Our Privacy Policy also governs your use of the Services.

By using the Services, you consent to the collection, use, storage, and processing of your personal information as described in the Privacy Policy.

Where paid services are offered:

• authorized third-party providers handle payment processing;
• we do not store your complete payment card details;
• you agree to provide accurate billing information.

Fees paid are generally non-refundable unless required by law or otherwise stated.

All software, AI models, algorithms, trademarks, logos, graphics, documentation, and other platform content (excluding User Content) remain the property of African Languages Lab or its licensors.

Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of our intellectual property to you.

You may not:

• copy;
• redistribute;
• modify;
• sublicense;
• reverse engineer;
• commercially exploit our Services except where expressly permitted.

The Services may integrate third-party products, payment providers, authentication services, analytics tools, or external websites.

We are not responsible for:

• third-party content;
• availability of third-party services;
• third-party privacy practices.

Your use of those services is governed by their own terms.

Although we aim to provide reliable Services, we do not guarantee that the platform will always be:

• uninterrupted;
• secure;
• error-free;
• continuously available.

Maintenance, upgrades, and unexpected outages may occur.

We may suspend or terminate your access if:

• you breach these Terms;
• your account is used fraudulently;
• required by law;
• necessary to protect users or our Services.

You may terminate your account at any time.

Termination does not affect rights that accrued before termination.

The Services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, African Languages Lab disclaims all warranties, including warranties of:

• merchantability;
• fitness for a particular purpose;
• uninterrupted availability;
• accuracy of AI-generated content.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, African Languages Lab shall not be liable for:

• indirect damages;
• consequential damages;
• loss of profits;
• business interruption;
• loss of data;
• reputational damage arising from use of the Services.

Nothing excludes liability where such exclusion is prohibited by law.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless African Languages Lab, its employees, directors, contractors, affiliates, and partners against claims arising from:

• your use of the Services;
• your breach of these Terms;
• infringement of third-party rights;
• unlawful conduct.

These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Ghana, including the Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843) and other applicable legislation.

Before commencing legal proceedings, both parties agree to attempt to resolve disputes through good-faith negotiations.

Where negotiations fail, disputes may be referred to mediation or arbitration in accordance with the Alternative Dispute Resolution Act, 2010 (Act 798) of Ghana.

Where arbitration is not applicable, the courts of Ghana shall have exclusive jurisdiction.

We may update these Terms periodically.

When material changes are made, we will:

• revise the "Last Updated" date;
• notify users where required by law.

Continued use of the Services constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

If any provision of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any additional policies referenced by the Services, constitute the complete agreement between you and African Languages Lab regarding your use of Mansa LLM.
